Bulova Precisionist Chronograph - 98B316 Review

Image
The Bulova Precisionist Chronograph - 98B316 is a beautiful watch if you can handle its heft and bold design. It uses Bulova's 262 KHz operating frequency found in the Precisionist line of watches. The build quality is excellent all around from the band, the clasp, buttons and case. It is rated to be accurate without 10 seconds every year, putting it in the realm of highly accurate watches. It's unique time keeping mechanism allows you to use chronograph features without missing a beat when going back to regular time keeping mode. It comes in at around 250 to 260 grams depending on how many links are used. The only downside to this watch is the mineral crystal glass instead of sapphire, and weak illumination in dark environments.

The Maono AU-100R lav microphone is omni directional mic, which picks up sound from all directions. The package comes with the mic unit, which has a TRRS cable that can be used with a camera, cellphone or laptop. This mic is powered by a lithium polymer rechargeable battery and lasts for up to 90 hours. The cable length it quite long at 20 feet or 6 meters. It is important to note that there are no external audio settings on the unit, so you will have to edit your audio afterwards if you to adjust the gain. Synco M3 Microphone Review - Good Results In A Light-Weight Package

Image
The Synco M3 microphone is a cardioid microphone that can be used for both your camera or cellphone. The package comes with a TRS cable for cameras and a TRRS cable for cellphones. This mic is powered by 2X Triple AAA batteries and lasts for around 30 to 50 hours if you are not monitoring audio. You can plug in headphones to monitor audio if needed. You have a -10 or +10 dB gain setting, as well as an off setting to keep the gain normal. There is also a high pass switch if needed. The microphone is quite light due to its all plastic build, so it is great for small cameras, cellphones, or just light setups. The shock mount is hard plastic, so don't expect it to absorb big impacts very well. However, for talking head videos, it's fine. Btw, if you damage a cable, no need to throw away the entire microphone, just buy a replacement cable!
