The Synco M3 microphone is a cardioid microphone that can be used for both your camera or cellphone. The package comes with a TRS cable for cameras and a TRRS cable for cellphones. This mic is powered by 2X Triple AAA batteries and lasts for around 30 to 50 hours if you are not monitoring audio. You can plug in headphones to monitor audio if needed.

You have a -10 or +10 dB gain setting, as well as an off setting to keep the gain normal. There is also a high pass switch if needed. The microphone is quite light due to its all plastic build, so it is great for small cameras, cellphones, or just light setups. The shock mount is hard plastic, so don't expect it to absorb big impacts very well. However, for talking head videos, it's fine. Btw, if you damage a cable, no need to throw away the entire microphone, just buy a replacement cable!
